One look at the vineyard lined rolling hills and valleys and the historic town plazas and you will know you are in Sonoma County, known as America’s premier wine, spa, and coastal destination. With its lush valleys and vineyards, ancient redwood forests, Pacific coastline, and meandering rivers, the geography is widely diverse yet surprisingly accessible.
 
Sonoma County is just 30 miles north of San Francisco with easy access from the San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento International Airports. The Charles M. Schulz Airport in Santa Rosa, the county’s largest city, has direct daily flights from Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland.
 

Directions:  From the south, you can access Sonoma County from Highway 101 or scenic Highway 1, which travels along the coast.  Marin County lies on the southern border.
